Widely adopted by many resorts, the telemix is ​​certainly the best for transporting skiers. Indeed, it combines the advantages of a chairlift and a gondola.

The high volume of the chairlift:

The chairlift is a very good way to transport skiers to the ski area. It has evolved a lot in a few decades with the democratization of the disengageable system. It withstands strong winds very well and considerably increases the flow of skiers, in particular avoiding unsightly handling of equipment. We advance in rows of 6 people, during the time the barrier is open, to ensure synchronization with the arrival of the seat, a small controlled descent on a half-snow, half-plastic surface and the turn is played! In theory only... the operation is reserved for the most agile, because any bad movement such as snow plow, cross stick, size of a child who is too small (and unaccompanied) will systematically cause the device to stop... .

The comfort and safety of 10-seater cabins:

Putting on / taking off shoes remains a very restrictive manipulation, especially for beginners who will then have to transport their equipment through a real labyrinth. An obstacle course composed most of the time of stairs that must be climbed with ski boots, pass through the turnstiles which allow the detection of the ski pass. The operation is however made very simple with the magnetic system. Indeed, there is no need to take out your card, it must simply be positioned in the left pocket of your jacket to be detected by the terminal provided for this purpose.

This time it's all about comfort and safety. Indeed, cabins remain the most secure means of transporting young children. In addition, in the event of complicated weather conditions, the cabin offers you the few minutes of recovery necessary for your body to continue to face the elements until a lull occurs. The use of the ski lift is then authorized for pedestrians (this is generally not the case with the chairlift).

Note that the number of cabins may vary on this type of machine. From one season to another, for example, to spread out the impressive budget for the acquisition of such a machine, or in a few minutes to continue to lift skiers in chairlift mode when the cabins were no longer able to face due to their wind resistance (in the event of the presence of a cabin storage station).

A very versatile machine which the station acquired this year and which will no doubt be able to evolve in future years.

Last detail, you will certainly notice that the size of the queue during school holidays no longer corresponds to the length of the wait that you knew, the speeds having considerably increased to 2700 people/h, against 800 people/h previously.
