At GLISS CENTER, we put high-performance equipment in your hands, prepared with passion by our technicians. A pair of skis of this quality represents a significant investment, with values generally ranging between €400 and €1,500. On the slopes of Vars, the renter is responsible for the equipment entrusted to them.
That's why the GLISS CENTER team asks for an ID as a deposit upon your arrival. An essential precaution. Ski thefts, often opportunistic, usually occur during the lunch break or during après-ski. Equipment left unattended on a rack attracts attention because it is easily resold under the table (between €400 and €500). Prevent an unexpected event from darkening your stay.
To ski down La Forêt Blanche with complete peace of mind, GLISS CENTER offers a Guarantee Service option during your equipment reservation. This optional guarantee covers a single claim per piece of equipment during your stay. It protects you against significant replacement costs.
The process is clear: in case of theft, simply provide us with a report of the complaint filed with the Vars gendarmerie. Note, however, an exclusion applies: the equipment is not covered if it is stolen between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Bring your skis inside at night!
Regarding breakage, we cover accidental physical damage occurring on the ski area. Purely aesthetic damage (such as scratches that do not affect the quality of the glide), failure to follow instructions, or intentional faults are not covered.

The Assur’Glisse resort insurance, offered at €3.50 per day in Vars, is excellent for on-slope rescue but does not cover rental equipment. This is a major distinction.
Premium bank cards, such as Visa Premier or Gold Mastercard, require you to pay for the entire service with the card. In the event of a claim, you will have to advance the costs to our shop and then compile a complex administrative file to obtain a refund. As for home insurance, it almost always excludes rented or entrusted goods.
The GLISS CENTER option simplifies everything. The file is settled directly with us, on site.
